Are you the parent or carer of a deaf or hearing impaired child living in Salford?

Are you able to help Salford Deaf Childrens' society in any way?

We are currently looking to get more parental involvement within our local group. As parents we see first hand the impact of deafness on our children and are best placed to understand and help address any issues, concerns and needs. The NDCS itself was founded in London on 15 December 1944 by a handful of parents of deaf children concerned about the impact of the 1944 Education Act on their schooling. To this day, NDCS's Visions and Values reflect the fact that it remains essentially a parents' organisation, dedicated to the needs of all deaf children, their families and carers.

We need help with anything from just an idea to being a member of the committee. Also, If you are able to help the group by fundraising or organising trips we would be very grateful to hear from you. Do you have a hobby or work for a company which we could organise a trip to?

Without parental involvement we have no group!
